VWO pricing in 2026: plans, costs and what drives the quote

VWO pricing is not public. VWO is now part of Wingify after its merger with AB Tasty, and its Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans are custom quotes based on monthly active users, with a 30-day free trial. Vendr buyer data puts the median VWO contract at $16,330 a year, with a range of $7,820 to $35,790. Several A/B testing tools publish their prices instead, and some have free plans.

Prices and plan details in this article were checked on the vendor pages as of November 3, 2026.

VWO is now Wingify. VWO and AB Tasty announced their merger in January 2026 and relaunched as one company, Wingify, in September 2026. Today vwo.com/pricing redirects to wingify.com/pricing, where every plan has a "Schedule a Demo" button. If you are also weighing AB Tasty, see Optibase vs AB Tasty.

How much does VWO cost?

Only Wingify's sales team can give you a real number. The pricing page lists features for each plan and asks you to book a demo. Third-party sources give you a rough range before that call.

Why there is no public price

Wingify's pricing FAQ says: "Wingify offers custom pricing tailored to your needs, based on factors like traffic volume, selected products & plans, implementation scope etc."

VWO is now one part of a larger platform. Wingify sells experimentation, personalization, feature management, behavior analytics, commerce tools, customer engagement and mobile app testing, and each product has its own Growth, Pro and Enterprise tiers. Two companies buying "VWO" can end up with very different bundles. The downside for buyers is that you can't compare prices without a sales call.

What third-party sources report

None of these figures come from Wingify. Treat them as estimates.

SourceWhat it reportsDate
VendrMedian buyer pays $16,330 a year, based on 102 purchases. Range $7,820 to $35,790. Buyers save 20% on average versus the first quote.Checked Nov 3, 2026
MidaTesting module only, 100,000 monthly tracked users. Growth $665 a month billed annually, or $798 billed monthly. Pro $1,336 a month billed annually. Captured in the VWO app in May 2026.Published May 19, 2026, updated Oct 2026
CostbenchMedian contract $16,660 a year across 93 buyer-reported purchases, citing an older Vendr snapshot. Contracts auto-renew with a one-year minimum.Last verified Oct 20, 2026

The sources roughly agree. A single testing product at modest traffic lands in the high four figures a year. Larger traffic, more products or a Pro or Enterprise tier pushes the contract into five figures. Older articles quoting a $49 or $99 starting price, or a free Starter plan, predate the merger.

Heatmaps and session recordings are a separate product, Behavior Analytics, with its own tiers. On Growth you get heatmaps, session recordings, five form analyses and one month of data. Pro adds zone, scroll and hover maps, historical heatmaps, 10 form analyses and two months of data. Enterprise adds mobile app heatmaps and recordings, 20 form analyses and three months of data.

Personalization is also sold separately. Growth allows three concurrent campaigns, Pro allows five and Enterprise has no limit.

What drives VWO pricing for your team

Three things move the number: how much traffic you test, how many products you buy and how you sign.

Monthly active users

The FAQ says "Pricing is based on your Monthly Active Users (MAUs), depending on the product." Behavior Analytics is priced on Monthly Tracked Users, which can be a subset of your MAU.

Before the demo, pull your real monthly visitors for the pages you plan to test. If you only test a few key pages, you may not need a plan sized for your whole site. Then check how long tests will take at that traffic with an A/B test sample size calculator. If a test needs eight weeks to reach significance, a bigger traffic allowance will not speed it up. Only more traffic on the tested page will.

Which products you add

Each Wingify product is priced on its own. A team that wants A/B testing, heatmaps and personalization is buying three subscriptions, each with its own tier. Wingz Core, the AI layer, comes free with any paid product. Wingz Advanced and add-ons such as Predictive Data, Emotions and Data Studio cost extra.

Data retention can add cost too. Testing data is kept for 13 months, but behavior analytics data is kept for 30, 60 or 90 days depending on the tier. Longer retention is an add-on.

Contract length and support level

Wingify offers discounts for product bundles and longer contracts, and preferential pricing for non-profits. Add-ons and services "are priced based on the products selected and the level of support." Managed Services, where Wingify's team helps run your program, are a paid extra.

Vendr reports that annual prepayment is standard and that buyers who negotiate save about 20% on average.

Is there a free VWO plan?

No. The current pricing page has no free plan. Wingify offers a free trial account, "Free for 30 days. No credit card required," and a sample-rich playground with demo data you can explore.

VWO used to have a free Starter plan, and some articles still list it. The current pricing page does not.

When VWO is worth the price

VWO is a mature product, and for some teams the quote is easy to justify. It is a strong fit if you:

  • Run tests across several brands, domains or regions and need separate workspaces
  • Need governance, like approval workflows, SSO and an audit trail of who launched what
  • Want experimentation, personalization, behavior analytics and feature flags from one vendor
  • Test in mobile apps or server-side as well as on the website
  • Run many tests at once and need mutually exclusive groups to keep them from overlapping
  • Want 24x7 support with fast response times, or a managed service to run the program for you

If that sounds like your team, it makes sense to compare VWO against other enterprise A/B testing platforms such as Optimizely.

It is a weaker fit if you are a small marketing team that wants to test landing pages this month. You would be buying a platform built for many teams, through a demo cycle and an annual contract.

  • PostHog. A generous free tier and analytics, flags and experiments in one place. It is built for developers, so marketers usually need engineering help to set tests up. Optibase vs PostHog
  • GrowthBook. Open source with no cap on traffic or experiments. Running it well takes a data warehouse and developer time.
  • Crazy Egg. Cheap heatmaps and recordings that show you what to test. A/B testing starts on the $99 plan, and plans are priced on tracked pageviews.
  • Webflow Optimize. It is built into Webflow and adds AI suggestions for tests. It is an add-on that requires a paid Webflow site plan, priced by page views and rising to $1,199 a month billed yearly at 500k page views. Optibase vs Webflow Optimize

FAQ

How much does VWO cost?

VWO, now Wingify, does not publish prices. Every plan is a custom quote based on monthly active users and the products you buy. Vendr reports a median contract of $16,330 a year, and Mida reported about $665 a month billed annually for the Growth testing plan at 100,000 tracked users in May 2026.

Does VWO have a free plan?

No. The current pricing page lists no free plan, only the old articles do. Wingify offers a 30-day free trial with no credit card and a sample playground with demo data.

Why did VWO become Wingify?

VWO and AB Tasty merged in January 2026, and in September 2026 the combined company relaunched under one brand, Wingify. Wingify was already the name of VWO's parent company. The new platform brings both companies' products together, and Wingify says it supports existing VWO and AB Tasty customers.

Is VWO pricing based on traffic?

Yes. Wingify prices most products on monthly active users. Behavior analytics is priced on monthly tracked users, which can be a smaller number. Product bundle, plan tier, contract length and support level also change the quote.

What is VWO used for?

VWO is best known for A/B testing. Teams use it to run A/B, split URL and multivariate tests on websites, and to personalize content for different visitors. Under Wingify it also covers heatmaps and session recordings, feature flags, mobile app testing, commerce tools and customer engagement.

What is a cheaper alternative to VWO?

Optibase has a free plan and paid plans from $79 a month, with native Webflow and WordPress apps. Convert starts at $299 a month billed annually. GrowthBook and PostHog have free tiers for developer-led teams, and Crazy Egg starts at $29 a month for heatmaps and recordings, with A/B testing from $99. All of them publish their prices.
